“Experience You Can Trust. Leadership That Listens.”

My name is Jesse Valdez, and I am running for

Garden Ridge City Council Place 4.

My wife Linda and I have called Garden Ridge home for 17 years. This is our forever home, and I care deeply about preserving what makes our community special.

YOUR VOICE MATTERS!

Proven Experience Serving Garden Ridge

I previously had the honor of serving on the City Council for Place 3 from 2021 to 2025. Before that, I served as Chair of the Water Commission and on the Planning & Zoning Commission. I currently serve on the Board of Adjustment and represent our area on the Alamo Area Metropolitan Planning Organization’s Technical Advisory Committee.

My involvement with the city began in 2015 through the Citizen Police Academy. Since then, I have remained actively engaged—attending meetings, learning how our city operates, and working to serve our residents.

Professional Background

I am a retired engineer with 38 years of service at DuPont, a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas, and hold an MBA from the University of Houston–Victoria.

Throughout my career, I developed skills in leadership, budgeting, strategic planning, and problem-solving—skills I continue to apply in public service.

Committed to Our Community

Community service has always been important to me. I currently serve as President of the Garden Ridge Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association and as a Board Member of the 100 Club of Comal County.

I am also active in my church and local service organizations, including Habitat for Humanity and the Knights of Columbus.

I believe in steady, practical leadership—grounded in experience, careful analysis, and listening to residents.

I would be honored to earn your support.
